Story

Thank you for visiting my donation page

Part One

Unfortunately cancer is part of our lives. Unfortunately cancer does not only affect those of a mature age. Fortunately though charities exist to assist those in need. The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity is one of these and provides an amazing service - practical and emotional support to families when their child has a life threatening or terminal illness.

So please dig deep and donate now so that they may help more of those in need

Part Two

Life is not a rehearsal. It is not a practise round. Act now and do something. If you need some inspiration checkout some of the dares on http://www.livestrong.com/dares/. I have two inspirational Lance's in my life, Armstrong and Mackay - both have survived cancer and both now understand the importance of each minute, hour and day...

Part Three

To Lianne and Jenny and all the others out there - Livestrong!

Part Four

I will be going back to climb Shishapanma in April this year. It will be my forth attempt! Hopefully I can overcome the visas and weather issues that have stopped me in the past. I changing to go in the pre-monsoon season. I'm also feeling good about it. I'm going to give it my best shot. I hope to be able to publish updates on http://www.8000m.blogspot.com/. If there aren't any don't worry, there are often technical issues with satellites etc..

All the very best and thanks once again

Mark Hose

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." - Helen Keller

"For me living life to the fullest is a lot about testing myself: accepting challenges, training hard, and then going for it" - Lance Armstrong

Goodness you deserve a medal as you are getting down to the bottom of the "story"!

Anna does not know this yet, but for every £50 raised on this site I also pledge to work for 1 hour for free for the Rainbow Trust for any job they might require me to do...

Just:

- £100 pays for five visits to a child in hospital

- £500 keeps our 24 hour telephone helpline running for a month

- £800 pays for 40 hours of care from a Family Support Worker

...lets make a difference!
