We support disadvantaged 11-30 year olds to get their lives on track.

Story

The Prince's Trust is a youth charity set up by the Prince Charles in 1976.

The Prince's Trust helps young people between 11-30 year olds who have a disadvantage background, faced homelessness, problems at school, mental health problem, low-self esteem or been in trouble with the law. Prince's Trust provide a wide range of programmes to help young people develop key skills, raise their confidence and motivation to help get back into either employment, education or training and change their lives around.

I'm Ryan. I'm a full-time sales assistant at Superdry Romford. I was one of the many young people that this amazing charity has helped when I suffered with low-self esteem during my time in Secondary School. When choosing my GCSE's, I was encouraged to join the Prince's Trust XL Club which is one of the many programmes' the charity run to help young people in schools.

This programme consists of a range of projects that helped me developed key skills such as working independently/team-building, communication, organisational as well raising my self-esteem. My time on this  prgramme, helped me get through my other subjects and manage to achieve over 5 A*-C GCSEs'.

After finishing school, I became a Prince's Trust Young Ambassador which is an amazing opporunity to represent the Trust, share my experience and inspire others. During my time as an Ambassador, I attended many corporate events, awards, public speaking and fundraisers. This amazing opportunity helped me develop on my existing key skills as well new skills such as networking, public speaking and leadership.

Being a Prince's Trust Ambassador has led me to accomplish many achivements and experiences; being the face of Prince's Trust in their national 'Lost Generation' marekting campaign, networking with a range of corprate comapanies, work experience at Microsoft and BT, becoming a 2012 Olympic London Games Ambassador, meet HRH Prince Charles, public speech in front of 1,000 people and finalist of the Prince's Trust London & South East Young Ambassador awards.

Every penny or pound donated to this amazing charity will help change so many young lives around like it has for me.
