As you may have seen on TV and in the newspapers, I have been walking the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Path with my dad in memory of my dear aunt Emma Hughes who died in August. A few weeks later I set off with Dad from Felixstowe, and since then we continued in stages, at weekends, seeing many things and people on the way. We reached the finish in on Sunday October 25th. The official distance is 50 miles (though it’s more like 60 when you add Dad's geeky detours to things like museums, crag pits and rare trees!)
Many thanks to everyone who has helped me on the way to my destination: your online and offline donations have enabled me to raise £10,000 - £1,000 for each year of my age. With matched government funding that will make a permanent endowment of £20,000 for The Suffolk Foundation, designated to support young people with disability in Suffolk.
Any further contributions are still very much appreciated and will go to an important cause. Please visit my website, enjoy the pictures, and be part of my journey. http://www.fiftymileswithmydad.com.
