Story
Sasha is our 6 year old daughter. Last November, after weeks of being poorly, Sasha was diagnosed with type I diabetes. Type I diabetes is a chronic (meaning lifelong), life threatening condition. People with T1D, just like our Sasha, rely on numerous insulin injections or pump infusions every day, just to stay alive. In Sasha's case, that's a minimum of 4 injections daily, as well as multiple finger-prick tests to check her blood glucose levels.
Her days are a constant struggle to maintain levels of blood glucose that keep her healthy and reduce the risk of complications in later life.
We are so proud of our beautiful, brave Sasha - she is our little hero and has so far dealt with all of this remarkably well. It's heartbreaking to see on a daily basis everything she has to endure and we want to help raise as much money as possible for our charity, The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF is the worldwide leader for research to cure type 1 diabetes. It sets the global agenda for diabetes research, and is the largest charitable funder and advocate of diabetes science worldwide.
Please give anything you can to help JDRF in their search for a cure for people like our Sasha.
Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
David and Judy.
