Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Tamsyn, Lauren and Amy are Occupational Therapy students at the University of Huddersfield. The 3rd-9th November is national OT Week.
Working in partnership with the Cash for Kids scheme, we are aiming to promote the profession of Occupational Therapy, whilst raising funds for disabled and disadvantaged children; so that more people learn about OT and realise how it plays a vital role within people's lives.
Occupational Therapists work with a variety of people who are struggling with either a disability, illness or dysfunction within their lives; which is preventing the person from reaching their optimum function or independence. By working in a client-centred way, the client and Occupational Therapist can establish goals which the client wishes to acheive. The Occupational Therapist can then suggest and demonstrate interventions which will promote independence and increase the client's optimum function.
Basically, OT's work with a person to solve the problems which are preventing them from being independent and happy!
Please help us to raise money for Cash for Kids as these disabled and disadvantaged children will most definately have seen or would benefit from having an Occuaptional Therapist! Children should have all the resources needed to have a happy childhood, so please donate and make this possible; and dont forget, if you need help when facing disabilty or illness, ask to see an OT!
