Story
Team MND is made up of Pete Collins, Ant Oxley and John Collins.
Pete and John lost their Dad to MND at the age of just 58. Ant saw his friend Charlotte's husband John die from the disease and leave behind her and their two young children.
Motor Neurone Disease is a condition that attacks the body's nerves, weakening and destroying the network the body uses to move messages from your brain to your limbs.
All forms of the disease are terminal, with no known cure.
Each diagnosis is a death sentence.
Ant's friend Charlotte saw her husband John diagnosed with MND at the age of 27. When he died, he left behind not just her, but their two young children.
Please watch the video of their story we've put on this page, it explains more than we ever could in such a short space.
For someone with MND, every day is a battle for them and the many people needed to help care for them.
That's why we wanted to raise as much as we possibly could by each running and cycling a total of 2,014 miles last year.
We've cycled from John O'Groats to Land's End, cycled between England's 'Big 6' cricket grounds, ran several half-marathons, took on a Duathlon and ran 45km split over 9 different European countries in 24 hours!
Different people have joined us for different events along the way and we'll be forever grateful for their support.
We're 3 ordinary blokes who did something extraordinary.
This page will stay open until March 31st 2015 to collect in any final donations & sponsorship.
