Story
1200 Mile Walkies from Land's End to John O'Groats
We've made it! See our blog for our story, from toothbrush stealing sea gulls in Cornwall, to losing a toe nail during the floods and a mysterious bagpiper called Eric.
Thank you to all that supported us along the way and for your kind donations.
18th May - 17th August 2007
Woof, woof can I go for a walk
I’m bored with the day to day
Of listening to “I want more hill day talk”
Shall we make a change in May?
We can raise money by walking trails for miles
Carrying a rucksack, compass and maps
Crossing rivers, bogs and plenty of styles
Camping wild where we can for naps
Let’s start at Land’s End and stay on the coast
Until we reach Offa’s Dyke path
The Pennine Way will surely boast
So much mud, we’ll all need a bath
The West Highland Way and Scottish Glens
Will have inspiring Lochs and ridges
Maybe we’ll have time to climb a few Bens
But we’ll have to watch out for the midges
Then we’ll reach John O’Groats after 1200 mile
And across the North Sea we’ll gaze
We’ll remember our sore feet and paws were worthwhile
And the important money to raise
For the Rowans Hospice is kind to the core
And needs to keep its services free
Relying on public help your online gifts are secure
So please can you sponsor Will, Nikki and me?
Woof, many thanks for your support, woof!
If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
