Story

On 2 January 2011, our friends Ellen and Steven welcomed their gorgeous little son Colin into the world. A remarkably handsome little lad, Colin brought great joy to all, especially big sister Ava.

On 2 March 2011, Colin Emanuel Stuart died in his sleep.

To help keep Colin's memory alive and strong, and to boost much needed funds for the Scottish Cot Death Trust, I will be taking my somewhat lardy ass out round the Loch Ness 10k course in October. I'll be joined on the day by Orla, who will be running the 400m Wee Nessie race for Colin - not bad for a little girl just 16 months old.

Please help us to raise funds to help the Scottish Cot Death Trust, the only cot death charity in Scotland trying to find the answers through funding research to why a baby dies every nine days in this country from sudden infant death.

The Trust also provides a wide range of support for bereaved families and educates the public and professionals about cot death and how to reduce the risks.

By supporting the Scottish Cot Death Trust you can help us make a difference. Every pound you can give will give babies like Colin more of a chance for the future. One they so rightly deserve.

Thank you.

About the charity

Every 9 days in Scotland a baby or child will die suddenly and unexpectedly - many of their families will never know why they died. As the only charity in Scotland dedicated to the issue of Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI), we provide support, education resources and fund research.
