Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On June 11th 2010 the six of us cycled the 100 miles from Bristol to Reading along the 100 locks of the Kennet and Avon canal, in just a single day.

Setting off at 6am from Bristol Temple Meads, we arrived at the junction of the canal with the Thames fifteen hours later at 9pm, cycling up the hill to our office at BBC Monitoring in Caversham to complete the 100 mile distance half an hour later.

Please visit our blog at http://100locks.blogspot.com to see the fuller story, or see http://bbcm2modcycle.blogspot.com if you would like to read about our previous fundraising effort in October 2009, where we raised over £2000 for Help for Heroes.

We want to double the amount that we raised last year.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
