My mum attends Day Care at Springhill Hospice and gets a lot out of the experience. So does my dad who, working as a full-time carer, appreciates a window of time where he can go out and do things, knowing that my mum who has progressive supranuclear palsy (http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/psp/detail_psp.htm) is well looked after, safe and happy.

It costs £5/minute to run the hospice. I've pledged to walk 1000 miles during 2009, to raise money and awareness of the Hospice's work. As of 30/9/9, I've walked 888 miles -- well on my way. Please help to make every step count!
