Just a quick update. Did the sky dive yesterday (26th July), an amazing and utterly terrifying experience but what a rush. Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me. I'm so very grateful.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am proud to tell you that on 26 January Manning Stainton launched our Mannings for Macmillan 2012 campaign. Macmillan are a vital source of support assisting with all the many things that people affected by cancer want and need including not only patients but also carers, families and communities. This wonderful organisation rely almost entirely on voluntary donations for their funding, spending in 2010, an unbelievable £100 million on care and support.
At Manning Stainton we have pledged to raise £50,000 which will fund one specialist cancer nurse for a year in our region.
So thats why, in a moment of madness, I've agreed to do a tandem skydive to help raise as much as I can towards this very worthwhile cause. On 1st July I'll be throwing myself out of a plane attached to an instructor, freefalling for 1 minute before the parachute opens. aaaahhhhh, it sounded so easy when we were just talking about it.
I know the demands on all of our pockets for many worthy causes are significant but I would ask you to be generous and support this incredible and absolutely necessary organisation to ensure that the work they do not only continues but enables their services to reach more and more people and have a greater and greater impact.
