    Story

    Keep Our Flags Flying

Our Flag Festival has been going for 13 years and many of the 110 flags, which includes those designed by the world famous local artists Patrick and John Reyntiens, are faded and have been repaired many times over. Over 80% need replacing and this will cost around £7000. Businesses, local authorities and other grant making bodies will be approached but we will need your support to reach our target. The Flag Festival brings many visitors into the town and, to many townsfolk, it kick-starts the summer. Please help with your donations, large or small, to keep this event representing the huge pride we have in our town.

Good luck with the fundraiser. I’m new to the area and hope to see the flags for many years to come.
